Marie Skłodowska-Curie Staff Exchange grant agreement No 101086085 – ASYMMETRY officially started on January 1st, 2023. The project has duration of 48 months. Prof. Pilar Hernández is the coordinator of the project. The focus of the project is to unravel the essential (a)symmetries subjacent to the invisible matter of the Universe (neutrinos, DM, hidden sectors). Specifically, CP-violation, cosmic asymmetries and their connection. It is a Horizon Europe Programme Staff Exchange project that promotes international and inter-sectoral cooperation and transfer of knowledge.

A novel interconnected program. While the three gauge forces, quarks and charged leptons have been extensively studied in collider experiments, neutrinos, dark matter, the Higgs boson and the hidden sector(s) remain largely unexplored. An ambitious experimental programme is underway to fully uncover their properties, with several ASYMMETRY members playing a key role in it. What are the new (a)symmetries underlying neutrino properties? the baryon asymmetry of the Universe? the asymmetric flavor pattern and its looming anomalies? the stability of Dark Matter? the existence of multiple particle generations? Are these issues connected? How can we reveal them and search for the new particles that they govern? For the first time, the questions of the hidden (a)symmetries of the invisible sector of Nature and their connections will be addressed using a multidisciplinary approach.
